OCCULT POWER AND AMERICAN POLITICS

 

As I write this–July, 2007--the U.S. Senate is scheduled to vote on the "hate-crimes" bill, S.1105, which potentially provides worse penalties for heterosexuals accused of hate crimes against homosexuals than if the same crimes were committed by homosexuals against non-homosexuals. A "hate crime" can be interpreted as criticism or unfavorable words against the homosexual life-style. Should the bill fail or the President veto it this time, be fore-warned, it will come again. A momentary failure does not stop it forever–and powers of darkness are determined.

 

In 1974, while pastor of a congregation in Atlanta, I attended sessions of the Georgia Legislature and had lunch with several of the Senators. In that year's session something unusual happened. Several young men, dressed gaudily in pink and lavender, stood up in the gallery above the Senate Chamber, interrupted the proceedings to publicly announce that they were homosexuals. Their purpose was to let the Georgia Legislature know that their organizations were going to change the laws in their favor. They were quickly booed down and escorted out by the police. The idea they presented was both repulsive and impossible. No one believed them--but–the 1974 announcement had been made.

 

Something else significant occurred in 1974. That year the American Psychiatric Association removed homosexuality from its' list of mental disorders. Probably, no one connected the two events as being related. Within a few years however, the threat voiced by homosexuals in the Georgia Senate was heard everywhere. Laws across the nation were suddenly rewritten to "gay-rights" demands. President Clinton affirmed the homosexual agenda and sought their support. Pentagon officials and the Military Forces became embroiled by it. Colleges bent to its' influence. Nationally-organized churches and numerous religious groups reversed their two thousand year-old position and gave in. Hollywood gladly shouted its' approval.

 

In the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Cobb County was refused the right to participate solely because it had earlier voted down a gay-rights demand for preferential treatment. Hurricane Katrina’s violence in the city of New Orleans was tragically intensified because the Mayor would not cancel the homosexual "Southern Decadence" convention, evacuate the city, and incur the loss of millions of gay-right dollars. Orlando, Florida, routinely displays the homosexual flag city-wide. Concerned citizens in numerous states face amendments to state constitutions to prevent same-sex marriages. In 1974 no one would have imagined such changes.

 

Senate Bill 1105 designates homosexuals as a protected class while heterosexuals are not so designated. While it is expected that President Bush will veto the bill it is also expected that future presidents will not. Once passed, pastors who preach the Bible message about homosexuality, Romans 1:18-32, can be fined and imprisoned. America’s bulwarks of religious freedom, free-speech, and separation of Church and State that distinguished us from other nations in the past and made us great in history, will be gone. That is happening right now, in your lifetime. In the following newspaper article, compare the loss of heterosexual free speech to the freedom exercised by the homosexual community. Also be aware, when exercised against children and under-age young people such a threat as the one below is equivalent to kidnaping, rape, and other vile crimes.

 

The Boston Gay Community News, February 15, 1987, Michael Swift, wrote:

 "We (homosexuals) shall sodomize your sons ... we shall seduce them in your schools, in your dormitories, in your gymnasiums, in your locker rooms, in your sports arenas, in your seminaries, in your groups, in your movie theater bathrooms, in your army bunkhouses, in your truck stops, in your all-male clubs, in your houses of congress ... you sons will do our bidding. They will be recast in our image. They will come to crave and adore us."

 

Why Does This Reversal Of Morals Have U.S. Congressional Support?

Hear me carefully: In 1949, the unchallenged world High priestess of the Occult, Alice A. Bailey, died. Thirty years before, in 1919, when her career as a Medium and Psychic Reader began, Alice accurately foretold the year of her death. Ms. Bailey--who was not an ordinary psychic--wrote some 24 books of instructions for disciples of the New Age that were published by the Lucifer Trust. Because of its obvious connection to satanism the organization was re-named Lucis Trust. Sorcerers around the world eagerly acknowledged Alice as Satan's appointed Messenger of the New Age and successor to Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, the earlier champion of the Theosophical Society. Alice claimed that her guidebooks were dictated by a spirit-guide, a Tibetan demon called "D.K."

 

By the time of her death, a network of more than 5,000 organizations were listed in just two of the many New Age world-wide directories. These included legitimate-sounding industrial organizations, international music groups, highly organized and well-financed homosexual clubs, witch-craft covens, political bodies, religious societies, and others. According to Detroit Attorney, Constance Cumby, who studied Ms. Bailey and her work thoroughly, "It was sheer evil genius" which manifested in Alice's detailed instructions for her disciples. Their target-date was 1974.

 

Born in England in to an Anglican-Christian family, Alice traveled first to India, married and divorced an Anglican Priest,  came to America where she lived the balance of her years. Apparently, in India, Alice opened herself to Hindu "demons" who swept her into the dark world of spiritism.

 

What is the importance of 1974?

 

Alice, whose voluminous writing spanned three decades of intense activity, instructed her followers to wait 25 years from the time of her death before "going public". That year, 1974, they were to "come out of the closet" and make their influence fully known. Millions of Americans who never heard of Alice Bailey were unaware–though now dead–she still controlled a fatal turning-point in their history. No where was the change more obvious and deliberate than in the movie industry. Family-oriented films suddenly disappeared as occult ones took their place. A virtual flood of demonized themes hit the screens. Children's heroes were no longer the good guys wearing white; they became the foreboding, black-robed warlocks with mystical powers.

 

The movie designed specifically to glamorize the dark world of spiritism to children was Stephen Spielburg's famous "E.T." The name was probably a paradigm of Alice Bailey's "D.K." E.T. was a straight-out-of-the-pit demon whom children were taught to love and trust. Having met him, they would more willingly accept his real-life counter-part without fear. Toy manufacturers rushed to a frantic promotion of ghouls, monsters, trolls, and outer-space fiends. Ignorant parents allowed their children to cuddle these devilish ploys, unaware that their youngsters were victims of deliberate mental abduction. E.T. has long been surpassed by Harry Potter and his world-wide recruiting of children into the realms of sorcery and witchcraft.

 

In 1969, five years before other New Age appearances, and as an avant-guard to prepare the public for it, the infamous Woodstock Concert gave America its' first hard look into the drug-pit of human depravity. "Woodstock" officially introduced the New Age as the "Age of Aquarius".

 

The Unicorn quickly became a prominent New Age symbol that was eagerly accepted by millions of uninformed people and used as ornaments in their homes. These naive souls did not realize that the Unicorn was a New Age essential because of the philosophy accompanying it.

 

Briefly stated, that philosophy says the Unicorn will bring ultimate peace to mankind--after it has destroyed the existing world order. What is the "existing world order" that has to be destroyed? The home. The Church. Government. Civilized society. Why, how, from where, did the drug culture, homosexual political-agenda, demon worship, other "society-destroying" forces, suddenly burst upon the world scene? Alice's books explain why. When the University of California at Berkeley held its own equivalent of Woodstock why did they call it "Kiss Chaos"? The "kiss" was their way of welcoming the disordered collapse of all social order into chaos.

 

Who Is The Target?

 

After 1974 the home, as an institution of safety and trust, came under fierce attack. Husbands were portrayed as bungling fools; wives as the abused, unfulfilled prey of male chauvinism. Public School courses began teaching gay and lesbian "alternate life styles" as a normal part of human sexuality. Government and Corporate employees were forced to take courses desensitizing their anti-homosexual attitudes or lose their jobs. Hospital personnel were forced to participate in abortions or be fired. Condoms were given to fourth graders with demonstrations on wearing them. Music, T.V. shows, comic books, best-selling hardbacks, were suddenly saturated with messages of occultism and hard-core satanism. Some public advertising asked the question, "Would you like a spell cast on you?"

 

When Christians complained, citing the Nation’s historic, 10 Commandment past, they were accused of being bigots and religious zealots. The Church came under the most merciless attack of all and as silently as carbon monoxide poisoning, public opinion was anaesthetized into contempt against Christianity. Where Christian opinion had once been sought, it was ignored and fortunetellers became guest stars on talk shows; celebrities gave testimonies of their powers. Even Santa Claus appeared carrying a magic wan and wearing a psychic star in his cap. The attack on Santa changed his smiling, rotund image into a skinny, ragged old man, with a dirty beard and sinister features. President Reagan was exposed for side-stepping his Washington advisors and having his official Government Agenda arranged through a California-based astrologer.

 

What Else Can We Expect?

 

While we may think the present assault by powers of darkness is bad, believe me, it is going to get much, much worse. Scripture forewarns this will happen; current events prove it so. This may surprise you, but many churches have already surrendered to New Age philosophy. Some have abdicated by going with it; others will submit by not fighting. George Barna, Christian statistician, predicts that in the next ten years more than 100,000 American churches will permanently close their doors.

 

In all of this frightening talk, is there good news for the Church? Absolutely. Events in the next few years will force Christians to get serious about the Holy Spirit. The decision will be required of everyone. Ultimately, all true believers will eagerly accept everything the Scripture says about the gifts and power of the Spirit. His miraculous works will be received without challenge. Circumstances will demand it. Survival will depend on it. Pastors will be compelled to decide between allegiance to Christ or their denominational bias. Church members will be driven to the same decision. The Holy Spirit will then pour His power into that new, truly committed Body.

 

The end-time Church will be very different from the one we see today. The change however, will come abruptly. The most apparent difference will be power. The restored church will operate in exactly the same authority as did its' first century counter-part. Nominal Christianity will disappear; the two groups will polarize on opposite ends from each other. One will be "hot", the other "cold"; the first will be taken into Christ (swallowed), the lukewarm will be "spewed out". Revelation 3:16. The Bride will be without spot or wrinkle. Ephesians 5:27. Egyptian sorcery will not be found in her. "One Lord, one faith, one baptism," will be her declaration of faith. She will no longer be divided by imaginary, denominational lines. Believers will accept and love each other on the basis of their redemption in Christ.

 

What Does It Mean?

 

On the calendar of human history, we probably have only moments left. Our attitude toward that possibility should be, "Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus!" Revelation 22:20. In the final hour, some believers will be like the five foolish virgins who were closed out of the Marriage Feast. Matthew 25:1-13. Don't be among them! Don't make the careless claim, "But we have Abraham as our father! We are God's elect!" Matthew 3:9,10. God will not hear empty talk. He demands fruit, not religious chatter. If you are in grace, prove it! While many are crying in that day, "Lord, Lord, Open to us! Open to us!", He will turn away. Instead, He will be focusing His love on the true Bride. She will be a Bible-believer--not a Bible-bluffer. If you are one of those who rejects select Scriptures because of denominational prejudice you are on dangerous ground. Such an attitude is deadly. Jesus commended one of the Seven Churches of Asia by saying, you "have kept My word". Revelation 3:8.

           

If you ever hope to get right with God, do it now! Time is running out. The end will come in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. I Corinthians 15:52. In that day, the "New Age" will be exposed as the "old lie". Be certain that you are among those who are "caught up to meet Christ in the air". I Thessalonians 4:13-17. Do not be deceived! For the unsaved, the anticipation is this:

 

"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." Revelation 21:8.

 

Christ--not Alice--offers grace and redemption.

FORTY-SEVENTH WORD, SPIRIT, POWER, CONFERENCE

 

Before R.T. Kendall resigned his 25-year pastorate at Westminster Chapel, London, and returned to the U.S., he, Jack Taylor, and I, began holding Word, Spirit, Power, Conferences around the U.S., Canada, and England. One of our early sessions was held at Westminster Chapel where attendance crowded the historic building to the second level of balconies. Since the London Conference our meetings have taken us from Alaska to New England, Canada to the American West, and all points south. Invitations which are still unfulfilled have come from Australia and Europe.

In each of the W.S.P. Conferences R.T. consistently emphasized our conviction: "We believe a silent divorce has taken place in the church between the ‘Word’ and the ‘Spirit’. Some churches emphasize the Word to the exclusion of the Spirit; others emphasize the Spiri to the exclusion of the Word. We believe that when the Word and the Spirit properly come together there will be a spontaneous combustion of God’s Power." All Word, Spirit, Power, Conferences have been conducted in this expectation and we have seen it happen. Where the Spirit has been welcomed and allowed to anoint the Word without denominational restraint the result invariably has been a demonstration of His power. I Corinthians 2. We have seen thousands experience life-changing "signs and wonders"in these meetings. The three of us came from strong Reformed theological backgrounds with heavy emphasis on the "Word". In a sense, we have been converted under our own preaching and are now appealing to other Reformed believers to accept the Holy Spirit’s free offer of gifts and power.

Our 47^th Session was held recently at Christian Life Assembly, Columbia, South Carolina, where Pastor Stephen Chitty serves the church. This is an outstanding pastor and congregation for whom we have frequently preached. During R.T’s. numerous visits with Yasser Arafat, it was this church that fasted and prayed for the success of his Christian witness to the Palestinian President.

The day of Yasser’s collapse and subsequent death, R.T. and Louise were close by waiting their final appointment with him. Back in the U.S. Christian Life Assembly was faithfully praying. We are grateful that other churches have also maintained steadfast intercession for the success of our Conferences--as well as they did for R.T’s ministry to the Muslim leader.
