Serving the Body of Christ for Over 50 Years

“And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity. And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God ... And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?” Luke 13:11 13, 17.

“For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city.” Acts 8:7 8.

In both cases, the health problems were not organic but demonic. When the spirits left, the people were normal again. The Holy Spirit’s gift of “discerning of spirits,” will be helpful to us in recognizing the difference.
